Jessica Ramirez was born in Houston, Texas. She graduated from the University of Houston in 2006 and completed her Master of Arts in Studio Art Sculpture in 2009 from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2013 she accepted a position as Assistant Professor at the Borough of Manhattan Community College in New York City. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
